  • 10% discount across the range all year round (excludes special offers).
  • Complimentary tastings at Cellar Door for yourself and up to five guests.

  • On joining receive two etched Riedel glasses and a bottle of Piccadilly Pinot Noir (valued at $80, excluding The Waitlist Allocation).

The Martini Clone

Know Your Clones

It’s not by chance that Ashton Hills is regarded as one of the finest producers of pinot noir in the country. Nor a surprise that James Halliday calls it the “most distinguished site in South Australia for pinot noir”.  The former brussels sprout garden that Stephen George converted to vine back in 1982 has been a labour of love and a testament to one man’s obsession with a single grape variety.

Over the years, Stephen has planted and experimented with 26 different clones of pinot noir!

While the usual suspects – such as 777 –  prospered in the dry grown site, there was one particular clone from the path less travelled that survived and thrived.

The Martini clone is lesser known in Australia, its origins being the USA rather than France, home of the more popular burgundian clones. But for Stephen it became something of a signature and a critical component of the Estate and Reserve Pinot Noir, consistently “making the grade” in terms of classification and contributing to their staying power, a quality that is the hallmark of Ashton Hills.

For true pinot lovers, The Martini Club is your opportunity to ensure your allocation each year of these limited release wines at a member’s only price. You are also invited to exclusive tastings and events as conducted by Ashton Hills at our cellar door or interstate.

Join now to secure your allocation today and become a part of The Martini Club, or for more information contact Liza at Cellar Door by calling +61 8 8390 1243 or email cellardoor@ashtonhills.com.au

  • How it works

    • The Martini Club is a wine club allocation system where members secure their annual allocation of 12 Ashton Hills’ wines by paying a fixed annual fee.

The Waitlist Allocation guarantees members an annual allocation of between 6-12 Ashton Hills’ wines, dependent on stock availability, while holding their spot on the waitlist, until space becomes available in one of our original subscription packages.
    • The annual allocation includes 6-12 wines over two shipments, sent in April and September of each year to your doorstep, anywhere in Australia, with free delivery.
    • You have your own online profile where you can manage your account, place additional orders and maintain your personal details.
